December

So this is pretty much the way I figured this blogging thing would pan out. A brief flurry of activity and then nothing for weeks, sort of the way my university experience is going too. My last entry was on the 6th and everything was hunky-dory. Everything went to hell in a handbasket rapidly thereafter.
Holli got up to go to work on the 7th at 5:30am, and came back into the bedroom and asked me, "where's the car?" Yes, you guessed it, in the middle of the first big snowfall of the year, some asshole smashed in our back window and stole the jeep! Not a great start to the Christmas exam season. Thankfully the police found it about 9 am around the corner from where we live. I guess there was nothing of interest in a '94 Jeep to bother with. Absolutely nothing, not even the coffee change out of the console was stolen, and the vehicle was undamaged aside from the broken window and ignition cylinder. So we were very lucky! Thankfully the insurance took care of everything from getting a tow truck to cart it off to the body shop to paying my cab fare back and forth from the body shop to see to my poor car. But we got it back on Wednesday, and all is good. The insurance people waived the deductible (which I look at as my Christmas present to myself) and took care of the whole bill.
So I took my windfall, and went out and bought a digital camera, since Holli is taking the SLR with her this Christmas. Do you think we'll ever get to the point that we stop referring to digital cameras as 'digital'? Since then, I've taken and deleted endless pictures of the cats.

Just went over to Dreae's blog, and she was writing about Internet Personality Quizes, and it reminded me of this which I did yesterday. I've got a 56% match to Anthony Hopkins, and a 50% match to Paul Newman, and a 40%match to Joaquin Phoenix, which made Holli roll her eyes.
